What to Expect
Gentle Yoga is a slower-paced practice that combines mindful movement, strength, mobility, balance, and breath. The goal is not to push your body or achieve a particular pose, but to move with awareness and find what feels supportive for you.
We begin by settling in and connecting with the breath. From there, we gradually warm the body and explore a combination of floor and standing poses, gentle strengthening, mobility exercises, and balance.
Different options are offered throughout the class so you can adapt the practice to your body and comfort level. We finish by slowing down with breathing, gentle movement, self-massage, or relaxation.
This Class May Be a Good Fit If You Want To:
Build strength and stability • maintain mobility and flexibility • improve balance • develop body awareness • reduce stress • explore breathing and mindfulness • enjoy yoga at a comfortable pace
What Should I Bring?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. Bring a yoga mat and water. Other props used during class will be provided.
Do I Need Yoga Experience?
Not at all. Beginners are welcome. You don't need to be flexible or already know yoga poses. I offer options throughout the class and encourage you to listen to your body rather than compare yourself with anyone else.
